Pippa Rai

Pippa Rai has always been passionate about inspiring young minds and creating magical experiences for children. As a young mother, she delighted in spending time with her daughter and nieces, encouraging their imaginations and nurturing their love of adventure. One cherished tradition was their yearly trip to Crystal World, where they spent their saved pocket money on magical crystals. Together, they would skip down the streets singing, "We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz," creating bonds and memories that remain to this day.

When her grandchildren were born, she embraced her new role with playful energy, choosing the name “Pippa” instead of Grandma to reflect her youthful spirit. The name became so loved by her family that it later inspired her pen name, Pippa Rai, a tribute to the magic and joy she shares with her grandchildren.

Today, she continues to nurture creativity and togetherness through family traditions. Every Christmas, the grandchildren gather to build and decorate gingerbread houses—each wearing aprons embroidered with "Christmas Fun with Pippa." These moments of laughter and connection reflect the same magic and joy that inspire her storytelling.

Pippa’s journey as a writer began in the fairy gardens she lovingly designed in her backyard, where tiny illuminated fairy houses transformed the nights into enchanted wonderlands. Inspired by these magical spaces, she began crafting her Australian-themed fairy tales, blending stories of wonder with themes of courage, friendship, and environmental care.

Over nearly a decade, Pippa dedicated herself to perfecting her stories and illustrations, determined to bring her characters to life exactly as she envisioned them. Now, she invites readers to explore the Fairies Downunder series, where Australia’s unique wildlife and breathtaking landscapes meet the adventures of whimsical, courageous fairies. Through her writing, Pippa Rai hopes to inspire curiosity, hope, and a love for nature, believing that even small actions can make a big difference in protecting the world we share.
